Luminous Stratum Framed Canvas is a free experimentation with texture and light depth, created in Krita. The abstract digital painting begins with a dark, moody background meticulously built through multiple passes of digital acrylic and watercolor brushes to achieve emergent luminosity.
Over this foundation, a series of rectangles are layered using watery digital brushes and airbrushing techniques, creating a sophisticated play of overlapping color and transparency. The composition is aggressively finalized with a chaotic digital pour of black and white paint, adding a layer of spontaneous energy that breaks the underlying structure.
To capture the subtle watercolor textures and the stark contrast of the final pour, the recommended printing size is 18 x 24″ (45.7 x 60.9 cm).
